Do I need to be fluent?

Not at all. We welcome everyone from total beginners to native speakers. It is a supportive environment where languages mix naturally and we help one another. Mistakes are how we learn!

Is it free?

The event is 100% free. When we meet at a venue that serves food or drinks, we ask that you support them with a coffee, tea, or something to eat.

What languages are spoken?

We mostly speak Spanish, Galician, and English, but sometimes there are other languages in the mix. All are welcome. If you want to practice something specific, let us know!

Can I come alone?

Absolutely. In fact, most people arrive solo! We will introduce you to the group and get you settled into a conversation immediately.

What actually happens there?

We show up, we talk, we get to know each other. There is no lesson, no activity, no agenda. Just people from the area and from elsewhere, practicing languages together in a relaxed setting. Some have become regulars, some have become friends.

How long does it last?

About two hours. Come whenever you like, and leave whenever you need to.
